Queensland Transport requires all vehicles being offered for sale undergo a safety inspection and display their Safety Certificate prominently before a sale can take place. You will also need a safety inspection carried out to carry out an interstate registration transfer. If you’re planning on doing either of these things and live in Brisbane or the surrounding areas, we can help.

When you receive your safety certificate from Transport and main Roads (ICO) it will be valid for 2000 km or 2 months (whichever you reach sooner) if the vehicle is being offered for sale by a dealer. If you are selling your vehicle as an individual, this is altered to 2,000 km or 2 months.
